Cat's are said to have nine lives but it's not really true. After all if you run over a cat with a 40 ton truck it's hardly likely to survive.
I think it probably comes from the fact that they nearly always land on their feet when they fall and have leg muscles that are good at absorbing impacts.

I have heard it said that cats can do this. They survive better if they fall more than one floor because they have a chance to right themselves in mid-fall. It was on TV.

1st of all cats have 9 lives!!!
she duznt die cuz she has a near death incident! 4 exampl she falls of de 10th floor but into a basket or sumfink like that!!

Cats are very lithe and supple creatures and the animal may have slowed the fall enoughto avoid serious injury
