It seems like the only games that can save in it our Sonic 3 and the code thing for Eggman's Mean Bean Machine. Is there a way to save data for the other games like Sonic 1 and 2? Or maybe a cheat to skip ahead levels?

Not sure if you mean on PS2 or PC - I have it on the PS2 and you can save on all the games - can't remember which button but there is a button that brings up a menu during the game which allows you to save.
