The fact that you left the event that placed him in the parole period out of you information, leads me to believe that it was something greater then shop lifting. I would imagine that he will not be home for the baby's arrival. Maybe the 1st birthday.

Well, he has (1) an offense, or more, that he was on probation for to start with(2) a probation offense, and (3)a new charge on top of that which is a first offense retail theft
How many "first offenses" do you think they allow? He has several offenses. Sorry, but he may be in jail a while -- maybe long enough for you to find a law abiding boyfriend.

Honey, it depends on so many things. With "a first offense parole violation" there obviously is a prior offense. Those first offenses are NOT first offenses if he was already on parole for something else. First offense is just that. A first offense of ANY kind. Once you have been convicted of something the first time, you are an OFFENDER (until off paper entirely. Then it is ex-offender).

Speaking as a parolee, it all depends on the sentencing length. For example, a first-time offender on a four year sentence will likely do 3-6 months in prison. However, if he's on parole, then he's been to prison before, which means his factor goes up. Basically, this means he'll do a stipulated percentage of his original sentence and run his new charge concurrent with that. It also depends on how full the prisons are in your state. Missouri's prison are so terribly overpopulated, people who are going down for their first time are doing 30 days per year on their sentence. I wish you both the best of luck! They give him something you shouldnt be concerned about while you are pregnant. You need to DROP that loser and worry about what is growing inside you. b/c that baby is WAY more important than what is going to be happening to him. From experience I know EXACTLY why you asked this question, you want him there when you deliver. WELL my answer to you iis........ even if he is there for the delivery he probably wont be there much longer after that. Men, hmmm, excuse me, BOYS who violate PAROLE will violate again. People like that never change.
