Couldnt the Depleting Oil resources be a major contribution to Global Warming?

Meaning if the Earth is like a car's motor and you run it low on oil it tends to start to run hotter and eventually lock-up, couldnt this be happening to the Earth and government that doenst want to let the Oil Dream go is covering that part of Global Warming up so they stay rich till they die and then leave the mess to the future.

Well by that logic wouldn't the melting ice caps cause the oceans to rise which means more liquid water that will absorb the heat? And that being said...global warming could not happen since it would void itself every time.
