I've never been a gamer, but my boyfriend got me into it.
So tell me: Why do YOU think WoW is so completely addictive?

I think it's because of all the time you end up putting into your character. And the intervals in which you gain new, cool abilities are perfect to keep your interest levels high. Plus there always seems like there's more to do in the game, there's all sorts of things to keep you side-tracked if you get bored of the actual game, like grinding for materials for leveling up your professions or playing in the battlegrounds, and the map is SO MASSIVE that it takes you forever to explore the whole thing (been playing for about 3 months now, probably only explored 1/3 of it, if even that), and now they just added more with the expansion...
Combine all that with all the different character races and classes to choose from and the enjoyment of playing online with 7 million other people, you've got yourself and addiction.

I have been playing WOW for about 3 weeks. It is addictive cause of all the players on it and the friends you will make on it. The guilds are great and you have so many choices of characters. You can be anything you want. Plus it is just fun. But Burning crusade is good too cause you get a level cap of 70 and 2 new races to chose from. And a whole lot of other stuff.

Depends on the person.
Some people like the advancement aspect of the game. Levelling and getting the newest best equipment.
Others like the social aspects of the game. Maybe those with less of a social life outside of the game or possibly a less favorable one.
Yet others like achievments. Being the first to accomplish something, or get something brings alot of attention. Pixel Crack addicts.
Personally I found the composition of the game to be less attractive and addictive than others.

World of Warcraft is so addictive because there are lots of fun things to do.Burning Crusade is now the best expansion pack ever....

because the character you create becomes you and you try to do all you can to make sure your character is the strongest and looks the best. in the game you do things you wish you did in real life and you get lost in that world and play as if it were real
