u need give a clear months notice
so last day in January visit their office
hand the reception a letter "notice to quit"
get a signiture, name, title from this person

you must vacate by noon last day in Feb
some states/provinces may permit noon first day of Mar
28,29,30,31days not issue 30day notice = a clear month

in some cities its illegal to wear rollers in yer hair

You go from the first of the month and give 30 days. Do it now to make sure you have some legal padding that you did indeed give proper 30 days. And keep dated records of the day you gave notice. I'd do it today.

no you must give notice 30 days in advance, so it would be proper to tell them by the end of this month.(Jan) they will take into consideration that there are only 28 days in feb.

Why not just give your notice now? If your agreement says one month, then Feb. is fine. If it says 30 days, then be sure to give 30 days.

I would be willing to bet that you could give notice on the day in February. Does your landlord or landlady charge you a full month's rent, even though it is a couple days short?
