Hey,

When you dream, your brain is working hardcore when you sleep. There are different theories about why you dream like to try and sort out the days events and such, but the point is that your brain is working, not resting. While your dreaming, your brain scans would basically show that you are awake because of the activity in your brain, though you are sleeping. It is for this reason that your really don't feel rested when you have had a night full of dreams.

You need to get to the sleep stage past dreaming, the deepest form of sleep in order for your brain to rest. When you are dreaming you are not in that stage and therefore you are not resting and therefore you do not feel rested because your brain is still very active.

Hope this helps,

Suzanne

There are some cultures in the world that believe that when you dream your spirit enters a world of it's own. According to that belief and quantum physics you actually exist in multiple universes at once. Your actions and interactions could be the reason you are tired. It could also be that your muscular reactions continue through your REM sleep period. I know this happens with dogs as they whine and their legs run even when they sleep. I like the first explanation better.

you are using up all your brain endorphins during the day,.so while you sleep these brain cells are being recharged,.now dreams use up many many brain cell endorphins,.,.

e.g. the central nervous system is also using up 90 per cent of you blood to charge these endorphines,.much like the heart is using blood and lungs air,..,.
keep dreaming,. it healthy,.,.specially when you control your own dreams,..,good luck,..,,,

It's not the dream...It's because you went to bed too late and did not get enough sleep.

Because you are not having a restful sleep, but instead you are restless as you sleep and your muscles and joints and all that good stuff doesnt get to rest.
