The ULead DVD player that came with my new DVD player/burner will not play the sound from any DVDs I try to watch through it. I've used some other programs to attempt to watch DVDs, and they all play with sound AND subtitles. No matter what I try, I cannot just watch a movie, have sound, and no subtitles.
Anybody have the same problem? Anybody have a remedy?

Thanks!

I had the same problem when I bought my laptop. Try double clicking on the speaker icon in the right hand corner of the screen and make sure that mute is not clicked. If that doesn't work, go to the settings in the dvd program. Also make sure that there isn't another volume control on the computer, come to find out, that was the problem with mine, there was a volume control wheel on the front of my computer that was turned down. if all of this fails, then call the manufacture of the computer see if they can help you!

Call the computer service provider. He will for sure sort it out. You could have gone for samsung DVD player.
