My first miscarriage took place in january 2005. My doctor told me that a first miscarriage is very common. My periods are very irregular..always being late by 3 or 4 weeks. After my first miscarriage i kept trying for a baby but with no result for about one year. After that my doctor gave me clomid for 5 days and one needle of pregnyl. i became pregnant the first month after this treatment.I stayed pregnant for 6 weeks before starting to spot. I had a miscarriage on December 4th 2006 and had a d&c on december 7th 2006. my doctor sent everything he took out of my uterus to the lab to do some tests and it turns out that i miscarried due to hormone imbalance.he said that i have a progersterone problem. since my d&c i only seen brown spotting the same day and since then i havent gotten my period.my dr said that i should wait 2 periods before he puts me on new medicine. my question is: is it normal to not be having my period yet? and what type of medicine or treatment can my dr give me?

Yes, it can take a couple months for your periods to return after the miscarriage. The medication they will most likely give you is called prometrium--it is a pill you will take daily for the second half of your cycle--after ovulation. There are also creams and suppositories they can give you and all are very effective.
