Can I get a restraining order if I don't know where they are?

Question

My ex called me cause he wanted to come visit i told him that i was moving which i am. He than asked me how my sex life was with my new b/f and i wouldn't answer he kept asking than he started screaming "is he better than me c'mon you can tell me" and i told him it was none of his business. everytime he calls me he calls me on a different number so i don't know who it is. He wants me to take him his stuff{lives 8 hours away} but i won't do it cause i don't know what he will do. i don't trust him and i just want him to leave me alone. he was abusive and started acting crazy while we were dating he pushed my daughter down of the ground to make her cry than picked her up when i turned around in so he would look like the hero. My daughter was scared of him and so was i that is why i kicked him out. Than after he left he was harassing me and than it stopped i don't know where he is but i am scared he might come back and hurt us. can i get a restaining order if i don't know where he is??

You can file for a restraining order at the local police station, it free. You can have it sent to his families house or at his work. At least file a complaint so you can show it was on record and you attemped to file for an order.

Not sure if you can get a restraining order because he hasnt threatened you physically.Most law inforcement say there has to be intent to harm.I know that sucks.But you might make a report to a police officer just in case he does show up, you will have something on file.And its best not to answer the phone if you dont know the number,if you dont have it get caller id.Maybe if you dont answer he will give up.
