As annoying as it maybe, Some times kids deal with problem with food.. Maybe his family don't take the time out to talk with him..
You could always try telling him all you have is apples.. It may help..
Or having the kids mom over for some coffee and talk this problem out..
I had the same problem with the kids next door, once they new they could only have an apple they stopped coming over.. Just try seen if it works hun, in remember to be nice.. Hope thing work out...

I don't think your son is that good of a friend if he'd call this kid a greedy pig but I guess sometimes our attitude can rob off on our children. Anyway if he ask for food so much why not try to find out what's going on at his home? is he being fed at home? why not ask him to stop coming over ? why not ask your son to stop being friend with him anyway since you both put him down? Somehow I can't feel sorry for you or your son but I do pity that child for having to be around you and your son when you feel this way about him.

Stop lardy coming around near to meal times, don't give your son food/treats while he is there either.
If he asks for food tell him to go home if he is hungry that his mum needs to feed him more if he's still hungry, say it in a joking way so you don't look like a witch!
If you continue you will end up skint and he'll expect more, can your conscience handle encouraging/contributing to obesity in a child?!

try not to have him around during dinner time. don't allow him in the kitchen either. if he is hungry then tell him to go home and get something. i would understand once in awhile but constantly there is no excuse. tell him to bring something with him when he comes over that way he can eat that instead of aggravating you out of your food. like you said, you are a single mom. it is hard enough to support you and yours without trying to support anybody elses. hope this helps. good luck.

Tell him he cant have any snacks round your house cos his mum will be cross at you for ruining his appetite for his tea. If he persists tell him those are the rules.

Don't be frightened to enforce them just because he is a visitor.

If it is tea time he is hanging around, tell him he should go home cos his tea will probably be ready and he doesn't want to miss it or be late.

Say I have some lettuce that's it. If that fails tell his Mum that if she's wondering why he never finishes his supper at her house it's because he wants to eat my cupboards bare when he's round.

dont have him round when your son is having his dinner and if he asks tell him you only have healthy stuff like fruit in the house, hopefully he will knock that back.
