well it is a well believed fact that drug use causes mental illness including schizophrenia (or layman's terms: the inability to see reality) so there has to be some truth..

and as far as the altruism statement above please explain how altruism is related to liberalism? that's a pretty broad statement considering more conservatives give to private charities than liberals.

The only drug I've ever used was pot, and when I used to smoke a lot of pot (3-4 times a week) I was quite conservative.

Today, I smoke pot maybe once a month and I am very liberal.

I think its a disease that has resulted from a generation of people and their "recreational" prolonged drug useage... Among other things... Its also a mental disorder.
