I wash my dishes every day, pick up my living room everyday and vacuum about 3 times a week. I clean my bathroom about once a week (twice if it needs it), my bedroom doesn't ever seem to really need cleaned, I just dust once in a while and vacuum it once a week or so. Just FYI it's only me and my fiancee, no kids.

LOL!!!! My husband and I have five kids. He helps out with laundry, dishes, bathing the kids, etc. BUT I have not cleaned my house weekly since my 13 year old was a baby. Keeping up with the laundry is one thing, but to keep my house spotless weekly is a good laugh. I hate clutter, so I am always keeping things picked up and put away. I do clean the bathrooms often and the kitchen is always clean. That's where I spend most of my time.

Growing up my parents would post a weekly cleaning schedule (for example) my brother would schedule the windows/mirrors vacuum the house and sweet and mop every night before going to bed. My sister would clean the sitting room/family room-dusting the furniture/vents/ceiling fans/base-boards lights wipe down the doors. I would clean and dust all the bathrooms (3.5) and the kitchen and I would also wash all the trash cans (daily whether or not they need it) Laundry was done Wednesdays/Sundays. We had to clean our rooms and make the bed before 6:15 for dad to check (if it wasn't made you lose points) which then meant you were grounded for the wk-end. My brother would wash the dishes mon/tues..sister..wed/thurs..myself Fri/sat- and as for Sunday-it always always family gathering at my grandparents house-and mom and her sister always did the cooking and cleaning. Grocery was Mom's job and as for the lawn and cleaning the outside work was dads. Now that I'm a grown up and live with room mates-we adapted the same cleaning schedules and it seems to work for us just gre-e-e-eat!

Are you kidding? It never ends! But my husband is good about things like tossing in a load of laundry or dishes before I even wake up and before he goes to work, he straightens up the living room, takes out the trash. My job is basically keeping the kitchen clean, vacuuming, folding and putting away the clothes, and taking care of the pets and having dinner ready by the time he gets home.

This happens every day. We think we make a pretty good team.

We do a big cleaning once a week, usually we each do our own rooms individually. I usually do the bedrooms, and office, and then the 2nd office downstiars and the basment. I vaccume all of the floors in all the rooms, he usually tackles the kitchen and bathrooms. But we make sure to try and clean up after ourselfs on a daily basis for most things, such as counter tops.
