I find the biggest drawback, the lack of care in the answers given. Some people asking questions are willing to take what they are told as gospel truth. And some answerers deliberately give answers that, if followed, could cause extreme harm.

You don't know everyone's age and sometimes questions are asked by those who should be talking to their parents instead of asking those questions on Y!A. If everyone declared such as Over 10, Over 15, Over 18, Over 21, we answerers could better frame our responses for the asker.

But Yahoo lets 13 year olds on here, and even younger in a family plan, so that sorta makes it uncomfortable for adults to answer some questions.

lot of people do not take this platform seriously, someone has asked a genuine question but the person who is answering treats it in a very shabby & derogatory manner. we have got such an opportunity but people mis-use it to just lash out at others for no reason at all. sometimes there are very good answers but the source is not added so even if u want additional details u cannot get it.

I am sorry to say that many people come on here just to mess with people's heads and give them incorrect data. Also, they want to ask questions so badly that they type random things to questions just to recieve points. I frown upon those people as I take time to make sure I help them as best I can. To make sure that your answer from someone is nearly correct, I suggest researching it a bit, especially if it is for school or work. I hope this answer helps you! Best of Luck, Kacie

* People who REFUSE to answer the question and go on some tangent.
* People who give advice on things they know nothing about.
* People who answer with "I don't know".
* People who take a simple non-political question and answer with a 100% political answer.
* People who see a question and assume it has all sorts of connotations and inject their own unrelated opinions in the answer.
