You COULD get her a chainsaw but it's probably easier to just sit on the couch and have a beer.
Go enjoy a beer you've earned it

I agree, don't spoil her. She may not want to fix the car the next time it is not working. You may start something you would not want to deal with. Spoiled women are hard to live with! Good thing she has to use the barrow, don't let her use the pick up. She will always be wanting it too. You know, give an inch, and she will take a mile.

Yes, I've used one for 25 yrs. There are some very nice smaller ones( I used a Stihl). But give her lessons on how to avoid pinching the blade, kick backs,etc.. Small electirc work if you keep the blade sharp & are with a 100 ' powerline area.

my dear friend gave me a chainsaw for Christmas. three years ago~ He knew that I would love it.
my mother freaked, my husband freaked and my neighbor freaked. Then they were all as surprised that its my favorite tool.
my friend a "rocket scientist" at NASA for real.
Was right. I love my chainsaw and plan to use it this weekend to prune my trees.......and other things as well. Need to oil that align my chain and BRRRRRRRRRRRRR-WHEEEEEEEE!
Power tools that make me feel sexy.
Be safe and get her safety glasses and gloves with nubbies to help her grip, and long extension cord too.
That's a good hubby!
Also if you actually offered to carry the logs and pile them, remember woman find men doing chores sexy.
I jump my husband every time I see him doing the dishes. You think he would learn to do them more often>

I don't see why not. I mean, if she's kind enough to do heavy chopping, why not make life a little easier? I don't care about the thought of sexism, I mean, I'm asking for kitchen stuff for my birthday and I don't think that makes me the little wiffey-poo, it's just what I enjoy doing and know needs doing.
Just come up with a creative way to wrap or give it to her. :)

OMG are you serious?..well I guess...If she's cutting the logs by hand already, than it sure would be a nice thought of her husband and of course it would be nicer if you went out there and lend her a hand. You're one lucky Mister! if your wife is doing the chopping..lol

Yes, get her one! and also get her safety gear for when she uses it, and teach her to hold the saw in front of her shoulder not directly in front of her when she cuts, so if the saw kicks back it will not cut her face.

No - Just buy yourself a nice comfortable sleep mask and then you will not have to suffer such scenes of woe - one should not feel guilty you know, after all that is what equality is all about - is it not!
Happy pipe dreams.
