Thinking of DNA as programed is useful in getting someone begin to understand it. It is dangerous to, though, because it begs the question, who programed it.

The first life that started on Earth had DNA. This allowed it to reproduce. DNA is subject to mutations so it allowed life to evolve. There is less than a 3% difference in the "programming" of all life on Earth.

Billions of "living" things must have been born out of the primordial ooze before something appeared that could reproduce. So "who" programmed our DNA. Just dumb luck.

DNA isn't as effective as you think of it extremely is. as an occasion, some people who're lady are male via their DNA. All toddlers initiate out lady, and that they want a kick of hormones interior the womb to alter into male. without that kick, they stay lady. So some thing as undemanding as gender isn't completely controlled via DNA.
