It doesn't necessarily bring happiness.. One can have money, fame, power and still be totally unhappy. It boils down to what do you value, not what you can get.

Well, I think capitalism allows you to pursue happiness with more freedom. It allows upward mobility as opposed to socialism, in which the government dictates what you are allowed and no more. No economic system GUARANTEES happiness however.
