Some people are just looking for the method. There are a lot of methods out their for cooking fried chicken. I may come on yahoo answers and ask "how do you make fried chicken?" because I want to know how other people do it.
Imagine being so clueless that you come on yahoo answers to ask people why people ask questions on this site. Ridiculous!

Considering my cooking talents, and the disasters I can create in a kitchen, I'm surprised I never asked myself, lol. Though I think I'd just follow instructions on the package...

No, but I can imagine someone being so rude and mannerless as to criticize someone who wanted a recipe for fried chicken.
