Hi, we just moved to Greenville, SC and are planning a trip for the spring, we were thinking Disney, but its very expensive and far so what do you think would be a great kid friendly trip in SC or NC or Georgia? Thanks so much!

Check out the SC Grand Strand. It's basically the coastline from Myrtle Beach down to Hilton Head. Hilton Head can get pricey, but they do have a Disney resort. Myrtle Beach is loads of fun and not too bad on price.

Disney can be done on a tight budget. Stay off Disney property, but nearby. I recommend the Best Western Lakeside in Kissimmee. It is minutes from the Walt Disney World Resort and rooms are as inexpensive as $59 a night. Its a nice resort too. You can get discount park tickets from AAA, Costco, Sam's Club or your local Disney Store. Give it a shot!
