The amusement park is not as good as Disney Land or Knot ts Berry farm, but it is a fun few hours. I also suggest you go to the movies, book stores, restaurants and possibly some shopping along the third street promenade. That combined with the pier is a good day in Santa Monica. There is ample parking at both places.And they are with in walking distance of each other.
