I've read some of Carl Sagan's and Bill Bryson's books and I love them. I'm looking for more great non-fiction writers and books. Help me out and share your favorites right here.

Charles Kuralt and Bill Bryson are two of my favorites, because I love to read about all the places they've traveled and to gain their unique insights into the people and places. Kuralt always makes me cry, because his stuff is so sentimental and thoughtful. Bryson always makes me cry, because I'm laughing so hard I'm trying not to pee my pants.

I read a lot of history books too, but I haven't read multiple books by too many authors. I like the books I've read by James Robertson, Stephen Oates and Ron Chernow. I have a couple other books by Robertson and Chernow that are on my "to do" list. I've only read one Steven Ambrose book so far and have a bunch more of his on my shelf to read.
