I've made a tee shirt quilt, and the recipient loved it. The finished quilt used 15 t-shirts, and took me three or four days. If you are new to sewing or quilting, it will take you longer.

You'll need t-shirts, lightweight fusible interfacing, thread and batting. You'll also need fabric for the backing, the sashing (those strips between the squares) and the binding.

Try these instructions, or do a web search for "tee shirt quilt instructions" to find additional sources: http://www.goosetracks.com/T-Shirt%20Quilt%20Instructions.html

Ok so here is the thing. I made a quilt with my girl scout troup before and it is very simple. You will need t-shirts, extra fabric to sew with, and thread. If you want to add anything else you may. I would recommend having your friends or people in your family work on a square or two, just becacuse making a quilt takes a long time to make. Depending on the size though it shouldn't take that long if you give people to do some squares for you, just remember to sew them on.
