If you increase the paging file on your pc dpes it work just as normal RAM would?? As in if a program needed 1gb ram and you only had 512mb coulkd you increase your paging file to compensate??

Theoretically, yes. The trouble is access to the hd by the cpu is lots slower than ram. Use paging file at 1000mb or less, and set both values to the same number so machine doesn't pass your set limit. If you want more speed without buying more ram-clean out temp internet folders, and defrag regularly. Also check how many programs are set to run at startup-use as few as you can, so cpu doesn't have to work so hard.
