Get a job, you are young, presumably able-bodied and intelligent enough to use the internet.
You can get a job at Starbucks or a restaurant or a construction site or as a receptionist - the possibilities are endless.
You will feel much better about yourself if you EARN a paycheck instead of getting handouts from hard-working taxpayers.
Welfare was not meant for people like you.
Look at all the immigrants (legal and illegal) and come to this country to work and find jobs, very quickly, despite not even speaking English very well or at all!!!!
Welfare is not the answer you seek. Good luck.

You can figure out how to get access to and the time for playing on a computer, and are "kinda homeless"...
Sounds more like you need to get out of Mom's house and go business to business until one takes pity and gives you a job...I say it like that because you don't seem to have the drive to Earn a job.

Are you working? Can you work? If so, then you have to try to work to be elibigle for welfare. If you are physically or mentally unable to work, you can receive it if you can prove this.
How are you "kinda" homeless? Do you have a place to live? If so, you are not homeless.
To get clarification, call your local department of Health and Human Services and they can assist you.

It's really easy! They do it at the McDonalds now! Ask for the guy they call "manager" and when he comes out,the secret code is "could I have an application please" They'll hook you right up.Beforehand check your local shelter for openings-often 3 hots and a cot! And should I ask how youre online and able to monitor it for an answer?
