They have the vision and courage to understand and face a global conflict. While most others take the Neville Chamberlain approach, those two leaders clearly understand the objectives of the enemy and are trying to stop that enemy's march towards a global Islamist empire.
The Iraq war, begun by Saddam Hussein in 1991, was not a good idea. It was about time somebody ended the shootout. President Clinton made it official US policy to do so with the "Iraq Liberation Act" in 1998 but his three day bombing campaign failed miserably. It was up to Bush to finish the job that Clinton could not and Congress approved Bush's effort just as they had approved Clinton's.

The war in Iraq was a good idea but the planning and execution of that war was careless and thoughtless.
George Bush lacks the humility that a wiser man would have when holding such huge power. He will use a sledgehammer to crack a nut because he can.
Tony Blair is an excellent Prime Minister. It's a great pity that he wasn't a conservative party leader because he could have achieved much greater domestic reforms with the backing of the parliamentary conservative party. His only great reform in my opinion is the reform of the Labour party to a centrist party.
It's too early to say whether Tony Blair has made the right decisions on foreign policy. Historians might call him a bold and visionary leader in 30 years time if we get a peaceful democratic middle east as an end result of US/UK intervention. I believe that Tony Blair is an idealist with his heart in the right place but the UK does not have the power to change things. That's why Blair allies himself so closely to Bush.

George Bush and Tony Blair have guts. They have stood up to a vicious emeny and faced it like men. I don't care for the war but it will be fought here if it is not stopped over there. George Bush has done a good job. I wouldn't want to face his job everyday. Every president gets critized for everything he does. You can't please everybody all the time. The man has a dumb grin sometimes but he comes from good sound stock and we Texas people are tuff. He will take anything thrown at him. Thank God we have a president who will stand up for us and not sell us down the river. I think Tony Blair is also a good prime minister. He too stands up for this people.

The master (Bush) and his faithful dog (Blair). No, the war was not a good idea and Bush's insistence on keeping it going is one of just many reasons he sucks as President. Other than Blair's being Bush's lapdog, I don't know that much about what he's done or not done, for Britain.

In my personal opinion, I think the war in Iraq is a good idea. A democracy is better than a dictatorship in my opinion.
And I think Bush and Blair are good leaders because they try their best and stick to their guns. Being a good leader means making the right decision, not the popular or easy one.

it was, we need to get out.
Democracy may be a good idea, but the people in iraq are making it clear, they don't want democracy. It's OUR opinion thats governing THEIR country. Just like you wopuldn't want bin laden comming here and telling us how to act, and our women how to dress. I'm sure they don't like infidels telling them how to govern their country.
Bush - an ape would think so
Blair, not really

I think they are brave souls. They are public servants that deserve respect. I support both of them for freeing the world of radicals.

I think they both have guts. They are willing to hold out to defend their countries against people who don't think it's worth the fight.

and YES.
Those who think otherwise are blind to what is really going on. They think with their hearts and not their minds and are incapable of looking at the long term consequences.
