I'm gonna need it for college, so I don't feel like bringing bulky ones. E1405 is for travelers and is good for carrying it around and has a longer battery life. On the other hand, E1505 has a bigger memory, with 1GB and I think its graphics is also better cause it has NVIDIA. I'm a little gamer and I have to put the sims 2 in it with all the expansion packs so I'm thinking of investing on a laptop with more memory so it would last a long time. I'm really confused and your help would be much appreciated. I would also pick the best answer! ;)

I have E1505. It's awesome. I live in it. Work in it. But if you constantly going to carry it around, think SMALLER the better. So just have to decide MOBILITY or GAMING. You can also find a balance by adding memory to E1404 and better video card, but that will affect the price. So you know the answer.... ;p

I believe the only difference between the two is that the 1505 has a 15" display and the 1405 has a 14" display. (off the top of my head) It will just depend on how important the extra 1" screen size is for you. The reason the 1405 has longer battery life is because of the smaller display (monitor).

i have a Inspiron E1505 and let me tell u, that's the best laptop that i could asked for, i have the 1g of ram and the ATI video card not NVIDIA but still i love it...
ohh whatever u choose dont forget to put it the ultrasharp thing is really AWESOME how clear it is..

e1405 is definitely small and maximum functionalities are saved on the minimum. the themes is a few human beings has annoying time typing on small keyboard. different than that, they are comparable.
