The way I see it, he is the only one that is perfect and therefore is the only one allowed to judge me. "Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone." Please stop trying to save me from eternal damnation because I'm gay. I'll see you up at the gates on judgement day and then we'll see who gets in, but until then, let me be happy while I'm alive and just leave me and my fellow GLBT community in peace.

P.S. Anybody agree that these people that speak "the word of christ" should let Christ do the speaking and judging?

I hear what some of you are saying that God will judge me, but I gotta tell you, my religion is completely different than yours. I was raised to believe that God loved everyone. And now, as an adult, after reading the entire Bible twice by my own free will and not having been told to by church, I find that the teachings in it are very contradictive and hard to take as fact rather than just a good idea. So I please beg you, I don't mind being judged by god when it comes down to it and if I have to spend eternity in hell for being gay, at least I'll know that I died knowing the love of another human being regardless of gender. And I will shovel coal until my spiritual forms back breaks with a smile upon my face and warmth in my heart.

What is God's Holy word. What part of the bible was actually written by god. I know the writers in the bible claimed to have spoken to god, but when my mom claimed God spoke to her, they threw her in a psych ward and upped her medication. Too bad they didn't have psych wards back then.

You are right. It is my call. And I'm calling the bible's bluff.

Absolutely agree!

Let us live, my Lesbia, and let us love,
and let us judge the words of the old and so moral
to be worth less than nothing to us!
The sun will set and once more rise:
When this brief light falls finally for us,
we shall sleep through an endless night.
Give to me a thousand kisses, and another hundred,
and another thousand, and a second hundred,
and another thousand more, and yet another hundred.
Then, when we have kissed many thousands,
we shall mix them so as not to know them all,
and so that our enemies may not be jealous of
how many kisses we have shared.

First, I do care about you... I am not homophbic.

If you deny the Word of God now, keep in mind that these same Words will be the very thing you will be judged by in the end...(In other words, before we even get to the judgement seat, God lets us all know what He expects...That is a fairer than fair Judge..

God is not going to change His holy Word to fit our lifestyles... We can either accept it, or reject it, but no one will ever change it.
If the murderer suddenly says that science proves that I am born a murderer, so society should just accept me killing other people, or the liar saying, I was born a liar, so society should accept me as I am.... and we change laws to protect the liar so that he can keep lying, and the murderer can keep killing, would you agree to sign on the dotted line to change the laws... If you say no, then how can you call homosexuality natural, and support our reflecting that, when the law of God says the opposite. Homosexuality is unatural and sin, even if you want to step outside at noon in the summer time, in Texas, and say the sky is green.. and grass is purple.? Read Romans1:18-32

Jesus is still the way of escape, even if no other person follows you out.

Not going to be popular, but.........

As a Christian I agree with you that judgemental is a problem in the Chriatian community, but as Christians we are mandated to use DISCERNMENT. Which, may appear to be judging, but it is clear to the Christian that he must discern against what is right and acceptable before God and that which is not. Consider the following, and maybe the clarity of the Christian perspective will be clear.

Ephesians 5 (New Testament, NIV version)

3But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people.

4Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.

5For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a man is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.[a]

6Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient.

7Therefore do not be partners with them.

8For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light

9(for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth)

10and find out what pleases the Lord.

11Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.

12For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.

13But everything exposed by the light becomes visible,

14for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said:
"Wake up, O sleeper,
rise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you."

We're all sinners. None of us is worthy of God's grace. All we can do is seek out God, learn about His will, and if his grace is upon us, He will help us turn from sin, whatever our sins happen to be.

Christianity does teaches that if you keep on doing things that you know are against God's will, then you aren't really a believer in God. Repenting is a very large part of belief. If you believe, you may still sin, but you will feel convicted not do keep doing it.

Totally!!

Since only God became the perfect man... He is the only one qualified to judge how a man has lived his life from his first breath... to his last.

Let's just live our lives to the fullest and meet Him at the pearly gates. ;)
