The very term superpower relates to arrogance. The arrogance of the US abroad is one of the primary reasons why there is as much turmoil between the West and the East as there is today. If we acted a bit more humble and didn't think we were the world's police, then having a superpower wouldn't be so bad!

Well, the only official superpower right now. I think China is making a bid. I don't know if in this day and age if a superpower exists. With technology and labor forces a lot of countries have more power. So it should be measured more than military might.

Not really. I miss the evil empire. AKA the USSR. With them we had stability. Its a YING YANG thing. The world needs a balance of good and evil. Absolute proof is the state the world is in now. Certainty is dead and gone in this decade. Worse than its ever been. The only related coincidence is we are to only super power and viewed as a bully by 3rd world countries.

At the rate china is growing their economy will out grow our own with in 6 years, thus making them the most powerful nation in the world. And our government is promoting the growth of china by reducing tariffs on goods coming form the country, thus putting Americans out of a job because goods can be produced cheaper in china. It won't be long my friend before we are not the richest country in the world. Our country was built on industry and manufacturing and now we are selling it to the lowest bidder.

And I assume you believe the cold war is over and the USA won too...right? The USA is only the most arrogant super power and not even the strongest. China is the strongest super power in the world today....just the sheer size of their economy forces the rest of the world to follow them economically.

The fact is the USA with its folly/failure in Iraq and Afghanistan is really showing the vulnerability of the USA. The arrogance of the current US government is making the USA less and less useful to the rest of the world. Attacking another country (Iran) may be the last straw for our former cold war adversaries and the will simply nuke the US out of existence....and nobody in the rest of the world will shed a tear.

I believe there are many other superpowers. Take Europe for example. If united America would fall against them. I suggest not being so Naive.

Actually, justbeing, they are kinda sorta.
America, is the modern day "roman empire"

that is a superpower.
China, hands down has us beat, but they are at a peacefull state, kinda. I just hope I die before they decide to invade.

No superpowers, would intale the "seven years of peace" nostradomus referred to, wich would mean the end is near.

Humanity craves power. That's the worlds downfall
