A cat, they come and go as they please and sleep where there is room, no cage required, and they make great, friendly pets.

Since I am in the process of remodeling my trailer ( I thought it was stolen but it turns out it just rolled down the hill) me and Lou been thinking about this. Now, you have to remember Ole Ernie. I have to keep that ole fella. Even if it was probably his humping the propane tank in front that knocked it loose. So, me and Lou are thinkin abou getting Dirty Sue to move in. In a stretch she might be considered a "pet" but she's alive and breathing. Maybe she'll clean the place up once in a while too. Or maybe get Ole Ernie one of those singing bass things.

Chinchillas. They are small, social and unlike hamsters, their urine does not have an odor! Perfect for small spaces were the smell of a cage, litter box or what have you would really be noticable! Chinchillas aren't the best choice if you have small children as there bones are very light and fragile.

You could have a cat, they don't take up much space, besides their litter boxes, and they are good companions.Or you could have anything that stays in a cage providing you have room for a cage?!

i would say either a fish or a small animal that lives underwater because they don't take up much space and they are easy to take care of.
