Cuddling a doggie is wonderful in bed. Does get in the way of romance, however!.
Tony Blair does it every night - have you seen Cherie?*

I don't think it's gross at all... When I was a kid my cat always slept with me.. under the covers.. (she was always cold)
Now I have a toy poodle and a cat... they both share the bed with us.. The dog likes to get under her own blanket... (just an extra one I put at the foot of the bed, especially for her) The cat like to sleep on top of the blanket, right next to the dog..
They usually snuggle and sleep together during the day for their naps in a chair.. but at night, they lay claim to the foot of the bed..
They are clean and I wash their blanket so it stays nice and fluffy.
They have to touch me.. if I move, they move...
very comforting for me and them...
go for it!

Not in the least! We let Bud, our 45 lb. Sheltie sleep with us. Sometimes I have to uncover cuz he puts out some major BTU's but he is comforting and soft and fuzzy. Occasionally he nearly pushes me out of bed, though. I AM glad that he doesn't want to sleep under the covers like our late Yorkie used to.

I don't. As long as your dogs are clean and free of any creatures. My dogs both sleep with me. My springer has to be right by my feet and my basset likes to sleep with his head right on a pillow like a person next to me. It really is very cute.

We have a mini-doxie too, he is the same way with my girlfriend. He normally cuddles up right behind her butt (brave little guy!) He LOVES to burrow under the covers, he is like a little mole.
As long as he doesn't pee in bed, it's not gross. Just make sure you wash your sheets as normal. They don't really shed a lot, but they do shed.

I had a wiener dog when I was a kid and he slept with me in my bed. I used to move an inch to watch him move too. I once slipped off the bed to see if he would follow and he did. I caught him so he wouldn't hurt his back. Obviously I have no problem with it.
