I am staying about 5mi away from Disney on business in March. I was wondering if they offer discounted admission after a certain time of day. I thought I saw signs when I was there for pricing after 4 or 6pm. Are there "half day" prices? What are they?

Disneyland here in Southern California is the only Disney park that I know off that offers a cheaper price after 4pm. It's 1/2 price of a regular admission ticket.

I recently went to Disney World and I am fairly certain there were no half day or "twilight" tickets like some other parks have. A 1 day basic ticket was around $60. You could only start to get meaningful discounts if you bought 4 or more days.

Disney makes the most money from their hotels, they do not want non Disney hotel visitors.Disney learned through their cruise line that selling packages is the most profitable way to go and "a la carte" customers provide unreliable business.

They have removed Disney booklets from non Disney hotels because they do not want visitors they want "residents".They do not even want annual passholders like me because I do not provide enough profit, they used to send renewal notices in the mail but for the last two years have not.

Travel agents sell these cruises and plans and packages, they are not your online friend giving helpful advice they are working to book trips. There is something called "relationship marketing" which is aimed at women because they plan the family vacation.Travel agents are sweet and tell you about their hobbies so you will trust them with thousands of dollars. They show their real side online when they debate politics on a different part of the Disney tips message board.

Ya, Disney World doesn't offer tickets like those, unfortunately. Disneyland in California still does certain times a year, but that's it. If you want to visit Disney, you'll have to pay the $63 regular admission ticket.

No, they don't. I thought they did , because I paid $40 to go to the parks after 2PM when I attended a conference at Coronado Springs. I later found out (when I tried to do it again) that this was negotiated by the host of the conference.

I don't think so. You couldn't possible do anything with just a half day. Try to work something out where you'll have two days there and take a friend. I'm sure you'll have lots of volunteers.
