What's your definition of Racism?

That's the problem, it's a woolly concept, so there doesn't seem to be a consensus on any one definition. I have little time for the word and would never use it. I see it as a means of preventing debate about immigration and other race related issues of concern.

Also, the word 'race' could be said to embrace, culture- religion - politics. It is reasonable to be allowed to criticise any of these elements, or all of them, without invoking the ridiculous 'racism' word. Crucially, you are not attacking their skin colour. The 'race' word was first used against black Americans. The word made sense there, because it was an attack against skin colour. It doesn't work in Britain, because it is perfectly reasonable to be able to criticise the other elements I have referred to above.

The song is entitled, "Everyone's a little bit racist"

There you go... Racism is natural to all human beings, admitting it is not an easy thing, but racism is when you make judgments, just because of someone's race, may these judgments be good or bad. ^_^

That my friend is a very good question with a very long answer. Is it because we don't like someone cause of their skin color? What about groups that exclude you caquse of your skin color. Did you know different states give grants to large employers to hire people of different races? Does that make our state government racist? A large business won't hire me cause the government is going to help them out because I am white. Everybody has a little racism in them whether they admit it or not.

Racism there is no clear answer.There is so much use of the word.We all suffer some kind of riddicule yet now the word racism is bantered around at the least tiny word.Its time to lighten up.

This can include positive beliefs (all X's are great at _____) or negative views (he probably isn't good at _____ because his race is X). similar to sexism, but the difference is that race is the deciding factor for someone's opinions.

Actually , that is a multi-part answer..,

[One] may be racist against or for, someone Else's race,their own race.., it all depends on to whom that individual is interacting with.

It may be perceived as a positive or negative connotation..,

When any particular individual stands up for his/her race , it is "usually" considered a positive action..,

But lest this whole monologue of mine is perceived as a rambling..,
