Hi, just thought I'd get some opinions. I hit my head on the weight machine at the gym about 3 weeks ago. When I did it, it obviously hurt, but I didn't think much about it. Now it's been about 3 weeks and the lump in about the size of a marble and it is VERY sensitive. Do you think it could be something serious? Has anyone ever had a lump last that long? THanks!

It could be a hematoma or blood collection (same) due to bleeding outside the skull. If it bleeds inside the skull it's much more dangerous, and likely cause severe symptoms, don't know about outside. Should ask a doctor about it, because it could cause a problem, if that's it.

I hit my head on the concrete once. My bump lasted about a month too. If you start to feel dizzy or not the way you felt before the injury, I suggest seeing your doc. It could be internal bleeding, but I don't think that is the case. I think you just hit your head a little too hard and now it is sensitive. If it really is bothering you I would see a doc. Good luck.
