you mean to say your b/f punched you just kidding thats what people assume. put ice on it it helps the blood vessels go in place A black eye can be worn as a badge of courage or an emblem of foolishness. But no matter how you got it, they are ugly, painful, and could cause eye damage. If your vision is blurred, you experience pain in and around the eye, you become light sensitive or you have "floaters" in your field of vision, you should consult a doctor. Otherwise, follow these tips to hide and heal your black eye.
1. Put a cold compress over the injured area right away.
2. Take an over-the-counter medicine for pain and inflammation, such as Tylenol® (or generic acetaminophen).
3. Avoid aspirin. Aspirin prevents blood from clotting, thus making it more difficult to stop the bleeding, which is what turns your eye black.
4. Take some vitamin C. Studies have shown that it promotes healing, especially for bruises.
5. Later, put a warm compress over the injured area.
6. Seek medical attention if these measures do not help.

Instructions
STEP 1: Check the eyelid carefully for lacerations. If the lid has been cut, a doctor may need to repair it with a few fine sutures.
STEP 2: Place an ice pack or cold compress over the injury for 10 minutes every hour for the first day. Never put ice directly on your skin. Always use an ice pack or wrap a cloth around the ice. Ice helps constrict blood vessels and localize bleeding.
STEP 3: On the second and third days, apply a heating pad or warm, moist com-presses to the injury for 10 to 20 minutes each hour or two. Heat applied 24 to 48 hours after the injury will help your body absorb the excess blood around delicate eye tissue.
STEP 4: Sleep with your head elevated on two pillows. This helps to reduce swelling of the eyelids.
STEP 5: Talk to your doctor about taking aspirin, ibuprofen or acetaminophen for discomfort if you are an adult. Children should not take aspirin.
STEP 6: Wear dark glasses, especially in well-lit areas, to reduce eyestrain as the black eye is healing.
Tips & Warnings
The eyeball, the bones around the eye and the eye muscles may all be affected by trauma to the eye.
Blood may drain into the eyelid, making it difficult to open. Blood may also drain into the cheek. The tissue around the eye will remain bruised for two to three weeks.
See your doctor if your black eye causes you any special concerns.
If you have any problems with vision, including blurred, double or fuzzy vision, or if you feel faint, dizzy or confused, or experience nausea and vomiting call your doctor or go to the emergency room.

If normal light hurts your eyes
Here's what you can also try to Treat a Black Eye:
Don't take any aspirin based pain-killers as they thin your blood taking the black eye longer to heal. Try Acetaminophenproducts like Tylenol instead.
Eat pineapple and papaya (three times a day). Enzymes in the fruit can soften your bruise and make it easier heal.
Use an ice pack around the eye until it feels numb, then give it a 30 minute break. This helps to reduce swelling.
If all else fails and you're dying of embarrassment, try using makeup to hide the black eye until it's gone. Dermablend is one such product sold over the counter that's quite effective.
Remember that it's always best to let your doctor take a peek at your black eye initially champ.
And another useful advice: put raw beef stakes on your black eye. This should also help. To remind you, this black eye won’t disappear over night ...

Your Avatar, doesn't say if your male or female....... So forgive me and please bare with me......If your female, just put some of your cover-up on it, and if your male borrow your wife's cover-up.. And if your not married but your a male, just go to your nearest Target, or Walmart, to the woman's make-up dept, with like a cap on low over your eye....... And buy you some foundation that looks like your skin color, as close as you can get to your own skin color, as you can!! And believe me, it works wonders for Black Eyes!! I should know, my EX used to use me as a "Punching Bag" that's why he's now my EX-Husband!!!! Smile!!! Oh, also, if the purple still shows through a bit, just cake it on again, after the first application dries a bit, and get some of the powder kind too to make it look dry, and not so oily, or someone at work might notice, and hey if they do, just tell them you were wrestling with your son!!! They'll understand!!!

Actually, the beefsteak is a good bruise remover. Raw, on the eye for about half an hour at a time. When going out, (male or female) a little foundation make up and a strategically placed hat are permittable.

You can't get rid of it. It takes time for the blood to go away....that's what is causing the bruise at your eye. Try some warm compresses to try and break up the pooled blood in the area.

You don't. Ha, you got beat up by a kid. Oh, I get beat down by my wife. When she gives me a black eye it helps if I put a bag of frozen peas on it. Loosen the bag up so all the peas are not frozen together and then put it on your eye. Don't tell anyone I get beat up by my wife.
