There is a simple formula for this type of problem:

Distance = Rate x Time

You know the distance, 605 miles, and you know the rate, 55 miles per hour, so the equation looks like this right now:

605 mi. = 55 mi/hr x time You divide 605/55 to get the time:

605 mi. / 55 mi. /hr. = 11 hours

I'm assuming you're asking how long it will take in real life and that you do know how to divide ;) jk. I go on a trip about that far each year and it takes between 10 and 12 hours depending on how much stopping you do and weather conditions.

It will take 16.4854 hours. This is considering pee-pee breaks, traffic, scolding the children after they've asked, 'are we there yet?' like a million times, swerving to miss the car that you almost hit b/c of your children, the slow driving that results from being depressed after yelling incessantly at your children, and the make yourself look good by buying those critters ice cream.)

I'm really just kidding about all this. ;)
