Identical twins come from the same egg that splits after fertilization. This is luck of the draw and contrary to popular belief is not inherited. Identical twins have the same DNA and the only genetic diff. is fingerprints. Fraternal twins are two seperate eggs fertilized. They can look completely differently or very closely. Fraternal twins can be inherited from the MOTHER's side.

There is no way to know if you are going to have twins until you have a medical exam. Sorry.

conceiving twins on your own (without drugs) is pretty rare, especially if you're of a particular ethnic background.

I am currently pregnant with identical twins (am asian) and have absolutely no twins in my family. The chances of me conceiving twins is actually less than 1%... so it's very rare.

You can't know if you're goin to have twins... especially identical twins, as it's not inheretible. Having fraternal twins on the otherhand is inheritable so if you have any fraternal twins in your family, that increases the likelihood that you'll have twins too.

you never know, you can't expect twins in the future. You may have a boy or a girl, i know cuz i want a boy and girl but you never know i might just have 1 girl or 2 boys. Just believe and God may answer your prayer. Good Luck
