im 17 and i work my mom doesnt work so no one can claim my brother and he is 14, we leave in the same house, and because my mom doesnt work i give her some of my money. i wanted to know if i can claim my brother as a dependant, since i the money i give my mom is usually being used on my brother???

i also was wondering if i can put myself as a dependant since i am under age and no one else can claim me either????

also someone told me i can claim head of household!!!

You have a deduction for yourself. If you provide for more than 50% of your brothers support (food, housing costs etc, you could/should be able to claim him as a dependant). You really need to talk to a tax professional for the legal details.
