Why is Iran fighting with such fervor by sending in so many insurgents into the country? Is this war with Iran and the battlefield merely in Iraq?

It's not the average Iranian that fears a free Iraq...it is their leaders...especially the religious leaders...if the people see that democracy works and that they can have some of the oil money that their fanatical leaders have now...it would be a revolution against them...and they can not have that, so they preach that Jihad against the Americans and the Iraqis is good...

Perhaps, in part because when they were at war in the past Iraq was being supported and armed by the Americans.. the same occupying force that is now bringing *democracy* to their neighbours...
here's a question for you:
Why does the USA fear a socailist Cuba so much? Why are they continuing their blockade - why not let communism fail on its own merits??

Your claim has no proof. Iran claims the US can't prove Iran is using nuclear technology for weapons. The US can't prove that Iran is supporting insurgency in Iraq.
Your statement is false and it is what Bush is trying to push on the American people to support military action against Iran. Let's not forget what Bush Admin was claiming to get military action in Iraq

Free Iraq? Do you mean like now, Iraq under a puppet gov't controlled by the U.S.?
Iran has "so many insurgents" in Iraq?
Do they have more than 150,000, like the U.S. has troops?

They don't. They simply have different idea of free than you do.
Republicans will do much better with foreign peoples when they learn to shelve their penchant for bigotry and actually observe and understand how other people think and do things.
