What makes you think that gay people are hated? Sure, some people love to hate, but not all.
I am not gay, and I take people on the basis of who they are as a complete person, not their sexual preference. And I really reserve hate for a chosen few. Pol Pot, Hitler, and a very few others. Even then, it is more a hate of what they do rather than the person.
So, don't generalize so much.

Me?!?! Quite the contrary. Why there the most fun-loving people to be with. They live out the meaning of the word "gay" to the fullest.
As to why some people hate them is beyond me...
Or maybe they just hate the idea (shrug)... They should really stop imagining what being gay is like and meet some real live gay people... they will be surprised.
