I know i've got a while before I'll start out growning my clothes but I'm just curious if anyone knows where to get cute maternity clothes? And dont say walmart. I hate when pregnant women wear big baggy t's and sweats....I want to show off my belly not hide it. I really dont want to wear those ugly strechy pants and im not too crazy about the elastic top jeans, unless they are made well and look like regular jeans.

I liked Old Navy best. They were cute and very reasonably priced. I love their baby clotes, too! And their stuff usually has a guide to what trimester it is best for.

I friend of mine loved Kohl's for maternity clothes. Apparently they have lots of sales.

I found Motherhood (Mimi) a little expensive generally, but I found some great stuff on sale there. You do have to weed through the older woman looking stuff if you're on the young side like me.

I found great dressy stuff in the JCPenney maternity cataolg, but they were out of just about everything I wanted and didn't know if they were getting any more in. So, you can try JCPenney if you are feeling lucky.

I bought some t-shirts from Target. I bought some stuff online and sent most of it back. One shirt was practically see through and I just hated the way the pants fit. I did get a cute bathing siut from there, though! You really have to weed through stuff at Target. They have great sales on baby clothes, though!

About waistbands...

I liked the 2 inch cloth, stretchy waistbands for first and second trimesters. I couldn't do anything but full panel for 3rd trimester. I was carrying a 9 lb baby! They disgusted me before I came to the realization that nothing else would fit and I had to go to work in something. The jeans with any waistband look totally normal if you wear a shirt that covers the band.

There are lots of options out there for cute maternity clothes. I loved the jeans that I had. They weren't over the belly, but the did have about a 2 inch elastic top (you'll be glad for this at 8 months). Still, my maternity shirts covered that part. People out always ask where I got such cute jeans and were surprised when I said they were maternity. I got one pair at motherhood maternity and one a pea in the pod. I also found really cute shirts at mimi maternity. It's really just about what you feel comfortable and stylish in. GOod luck.

I would say motherhood.com "motherhood maternity" There clothes are decently priced and pretty cute...I have my wishlist already made on there with all the clothes im getting, next month I am going to purchase them..I got a lot of stuff for a decent price too. They have really cute no belly jeans and cute tops..The tops they have show off the belly very well. Sometimes i will go to ross to look at the maternity section and have seen tops that were priced at 50 and up and they will be like 10-15 at ross...U can check them out too. Good Luck!

Yes, they're mostly horrible. Overpriced and poorly made from artificial fibres -- not really what you want when you're planning on being sweaty and uncomfortable anyway. But.

The Gap does a reasonably nice line in maternity clothes. I got a pair of khakis there with a hidden elastic; they look, er, reasonably like normal pants. The tops are pretty decent -- not frilly things screaming 'maternity,' mostly fitted without being skin-tight (some stuff is very tight, though).

'Motherhood' and 'Belly Basics' are both decent quality, especially the latter.

Don't limit yourself to one store, and don't rule out any one store.

Really -- second-hand stores. Consignment stores; try regular women's clothes ones, and a lot of children's consignment stores have maternity wear as well. You can pick through lots of stuff other people mail-ordered and not limit yourself to the stores around you. Some of it's barely worn if at all. Thrift stores are worth checking out, too. There's horrid twenty-year-old stuff, and some good pieces at excellent prices.

'Homme Mummy' (Google it) makes great stuff, if you have a lot of money, but look for it on eBay & in 2nd-hand shops.

Pea in the Pod, Motherhood, Thyme Maternity, Old Navy, Winners, Sears, Walmart (they DO have some cute stuff dont be hating on the wallmart), Target.... you can get Mat stuff anywhere really, but note: Maternity clothes are about 2x as expensive as regular clothes. I got a lot of mine from Lots on ebay to save money, then i went and bought key pieces from different maternity boutiques to dress it all up! :)

Best of luck to ya

The girdle I even haven't any clue on, yet i got here across an exceedingly fantastic determination of plus sized maternity clothing at target. They were somewhat extreme priced so maximum of my maternity clothing were basically frequent plus sized clothing that had elastic waists. sturdy success!

I liked Old Navy but read the labels because I found out the hard way somethings had to be hand washed and/or ironed.
I also found that some baby speciality stores also carried some really nice things, but more expensive.

Burlington Coat Factory has a fabulous maternity section with good prices. I was styling when I was pregnant last year! Also, buy some of their maternity underwear, super comfortable, and they even come in thongs.

I shopped at Target and Old Navy. With or without the panel, all maternity pants suck. I outgrew them all by the end and had to borrow hubby's, brother's, step-dad's sweats and baggy t's anyway. I was ALL belly.
