Cats

It depends on your personality. If you are playful, a dog. If you are relaxed, a cat. Cats are a lot easier to take care of, especially if you travel or are gone for long periods during the day. They litter train in only a couple days. Dogs are fun, they can go anywhere with you. They take more time to train but can bring you a lot of happiness. I have both animals, I love them!

I have 2 cats and 3 dogs and love them all. But dogs can make you cry the way they love you.

Cats. I love my cats. Dogs are great too but they need so much attention. Cats are independent and can take care of themselves, which is nice when you have to leave them home by themselves all day.

Dogs are more friendlier, will cuddle with you, & are so much cuter! They will come when you call them & are so loyal. They become a part of you & your family. But cats are easier to potty train & you can leave them at home for long hours & they usually dont get in to mischief. They both have there pros & cons. Its really a personal preferance though. I prefer dogs but I have both!

Depends on who you are. Dog people will say dogs, cat people will say cats. I like all animals.

Depends. If you don't have a lot of time to devote to an animal, cats are the way to go. Dogs require a lot more attention.

Dogs, hands down.

I mean, could you ever get a cat to do this? http://www.k9-freestylers.com/carolyn.html

And how about this dog? The evil cat starts a fire, the dog wakens the owner, brings her a phone, retrieves her artificial leg, helps her escape the burning house, and then the dog dies when she re-enters the house in an attempt to save the cat. http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=2575168&CMP=OTC-RSSFeeds0312
