cuz the people who run the companys are greedy and want all our money. It's most likely very rare to have a crisis that bad. And what's highering the prices going to do to fix it? They just make that up so ppl don't protest and stuff. Like the gas there wasn't no gas shortage or anything they proved it. There will be eventually but that's not why the gas's prices are going up and down. Notice: the gas prices went up around the holidays. You can't tell me that its just a coincidednce that right when there are thousands of travelers who are going to need gas there's a major gas shortage. HAHA yeah right don't think so. It's all just a sales scam.

I've noticed that in Cali, my food bill for a family of five was $500 per month. But in TX it's a minimum of $800 per month. And I make just about everything from scratch. Why is that? Plus the quality of food and produce is very poor in TX.

There are several reasons. But,I'm only gonna give you the top two: The weather has been destroying alot of crops. And,with the cost of gas and fuel,it costs alot more to transport it all.I know this cause I'm a truck driver.

There is a cost to growing food, harvesting food, processing ingredients, combining and processing food products, packing costs, marketing costs, storage cotsts, distribution costs, retail costs, plus many other overhead costs (staff, legal, taxes, transportation, etc). Food is a business.

Production costs, the freeze in California, distribution, and company's wanting to make a buck while blaming rising fuel costs.
Things get more expensive. They always will.

I don't see a difference in food prices, it's always been expensive... depending on what you buy. Buy Walmart Brand... it's cheap and tastes just as good.
