Get off his back people, he made it to the superbowl, he has played in big games before in college. He is a good quarterback he just needs time in the pocket, which he will get when Chicago man handles Indy's weak D-Line. But go on, keep underestimating him and the Bears on a whole. If you do, they will probably come home superbowl champs.
Reggie Bush you lost alot of respect that game. Classless, hope you liked getting hammered by Urlacher later that game.

Ya J MO like someone defending Grossman is a bandwagon Bears fan, i have been a fan all my life you douche. Take freeney's cock out of your ***, he will be blocked all day. Face it, the bears have better line and linebackers, i never said Rex was better than Payton but Rex can make a big play when he needs to. All I'm saying is if everyone keeps underestimating him, he can take advantage of that.

I agree with you. I don't understand people either. True, he might not be in the same level as Peyton Manning or Tom Brady, but dude, when is it that winning the game is about a one man's effort anyway. If that's the case, pair Manning with TO then & we'll see how that plays out, two talents = 1 b*tch fest. Grossman might have his bad days, but come on, who doesn't. Muhammad & Berrian are not complaining. Also, he has the best D in the league to back him up, so for all the b*tches who keep on complaining, get off his back & go suck Brady's d*ck then.

The Bears have won their playoffs games by limiting Rex Grossman's throwing attempts. The run game and the defense have been carrying the team since about mid-ways through the regular season. Why is that? Because the coaching staff knows that Rex is unreliable and the fewer the times he throws the ball, the better for the Bears. Ad for Urlacher, it's about time he made a difference in a important game not just the regular season. Up until now he had been a "no show" in playoff games.

Grossman isn't the worst QB interior the NFL. Charlie Frye, Harrington, everyone beginning for the Raiders all have him beat. the finished Bears offense regarded inept the day previous, no longer purely Grossman. Berrian end working that course, so the %. is merely as a lot his fault as that's Grossman's. The O line did no longer block for ****, Benson and Peterson have now grow to be Rashaan Salaam incarnates, & Muhammed persevered to drop passes. Plus, it grow to be commencing weekend and an away sport against between the terrific communities interior the NFL. Grossman confirmed that he has matured somewhat--he grow to be stepping up, he grow to be going to his verify-down greater. i think of that's somewhat too early for the Griese calls. If Grossman continues to be enjoying like this in Week 4, then supply him the hook. yet once you think of Griese is the respond, you're lifeless incorrect.

Because, despite the win, he played shakily. He is easily the weakest link on the whole team, and seems like the likely cause of a Bears defeat in the Super Bowl, especially when compared to Manning. Grossman just isn't very good and could very well end up being his team's downfall. If the Bears wins the Super Bowl, I very much doubt he'll be a big factor...

He erratic, but then again, Jim McMahan was sort of shakey too, and got bailed out many times by the great defense the Bears had. Also, he had probably the best running back ever in Walter Payton. Rex does not have that type of cast, so he has to do more and it really shows when he screws up. Mcmahan could alway throw a two yard pass to Payton and he could turn a potential loss in to a big gain.

Lets understand one thing. Rex Grossman is obviously an average quarterback, and people will continue to doubt him, but with a defense like that, who really needs a quarterback anyhow. You or I could play QB for the Bears. If he doesn't make mistakes, costly turnovers or INTS, and makes decent throws when he HAS too then Bears are hard to beat. Lovie Smith limits Grossman's pass plays because they have a beast running attack and killer defense and that's all it takes for a team to reach a level of greatness.
Bears Defense wiil make it hard for Colts to win.
You have to like the way they play "D" as it is fun to watch them strip balls and make turnovers look easy. Urlacher hit was sweet...

Your thesis is a bit off. Similar to the '01 Ravens, the Bear defence is what has Grossman going to the big game...they are going in spite of him. I might argue that Grossman is the worst quarterback to go to a Super Bowl.
He did get on a bit of a roll yesterday, thanks in large part to a few turn overs. Take away those turn overs and I think we're talking a completely different match up in Miami in two weeks.
Seems to me he had one decent drive...and that is simply not good enough at this level.

He struggles with the Pass!
They won the game, but he was not consistent!
For the Bears to win the Superbowl, He will need to beat the Saints with his arm.
Should be a good game!

yea i guess indy has a weak d-line with dwight feeney the one of the best d-ends in the game, quit tellin us to get off his back you need to get off your knees for him. the bears suck and the nfc is weak compared to the powerful afc. indy wins this game 35-17 and grossman fumbles once throws two picks and freeney sacks him at least twice.
stick that in your pipe and smoke it you bandwagon bears fan.
