I dont touch type but am looking for a job and they require at least 65wpm. I type around 40. Help!

The best way to increase your speed is to just type a lot. Try answering questions on here for a couple weeks. That should speed you up a little.

Go slow...get a metronome and set it to 60 beats per minute.
Using _nonsense_ copy, including the numbers, type one character for each beat. Stay at 60 bps until your copy is 100% then go up a little, maybe to 70 bps and do the same with different set of nonsense characters. Keep going until you get to your target speed.
If 60 is too fast, drop to 50 and go.

A good way to practice is to start instant messaging (IMing) your friends instead of talking to them on the phone. Before I started using IM i typed at around 36 wpm, but now I'm clocking around 70-80.

YOu definitely need to learn to touch type using the standard finger-position scheme. Chances are you'd already be typing 80wpm. Search the library or bookstore for self-teaching books on touch typing and GIT 'R DONE.

haha, bro trust me on this, as a playboy i've been around chatrooms and messing with all the girls on my age,
and just to impress them and to keep them focused on meh, i really had to do this stunt , type at least 95wpm to handle all the conversations at one time, rememba i don't talk to one girl at a time, there would be at least 5 or more always,
just use ur energy on creative ways like chatting and typing games and soo on, i went from 0wpm which i neva typed before to 95wpm in abt two months, well yes thats a mass improvement.
