The internet is filled with scams and false advertisements. I think you will have a lot of competition from world hunger charities and fallen soldier types who need a hand. The truth is there is no true method to verify truth on the internet. Play it safe and dont allow yourself to be accused of scamming.

If you want to believe this person that's you're choice. I wouldn't dole out any cash, period. If someone needs money, the internet is just a tool to "catch" as many people as possible to plea their story. Wherever they live, there are resources for assistance. I think it's desperate and I wouldn't respond with any cash.

I don't believe anything anyone tells me about their financial situation on the internet. People have been scammed so much by these types it's almost unbelievable people fall for this kind of crap.

Begging in my opinion is very demeaning, whatever the form.
There's always a job available if one wishes to actually do something about their situation. It's not a matter of what one makes, but rather how one manages their finances...AND their life.

they are over whelmed, need help, and dont know where to begin looking. they came here for answers (which is what this place is for).

do you honestly think the economy is great everywhere in the US?

anyone who takes offense to them asking for help, is jerk for passing judgement.
