I believe not...Those fleeing to the south abandoned the democratic socialism of the northeast/west.
Currently a contractor at the Warner Robins Air Force Base in middle Georgia...The second term governor, both state house and senate are in the hands of the republicans for the first time since reconstruction. The more that relocate, the more conservative the state becomes. The democrats elected, state or nationally (House only!) are the result of left over democratic perverted gerrymandering.

What you are seeing is a resurgence of the old style Democrat. Social Liberal but Fiscal Conservative. These old style Democrats were and still far Conservatives first and Democrats second.

Don't count on the south going true blue like is was in the past any time soon. The present leadership of the Democratic Party is just too flameing liberal on all counts to suit the South. The don't want to give up their guns and want gays to stay in the closet.

Hell no. The south will always remain a conservative bastion. God and Guns. Afterall, someones gotta keep the this country free. Dont see many libs standing up for it or at least putting their money where their mouth is when it comes time to actual defense. Semper Fi and yeehaw!

If you look at the blue/red voting maps - the urban centers in the south are already predominantly democrat. It's off in Hicksville and pickemuptruck where the reds still hold majorities.

Do you even know that much of what you put in your question is wrong? Revenue has increased, libs voted to go to war, Clinton, Gore & Company said there were WMDs, nobody ever said there was a direct connection between 9/11 & Iraq(you show your incredibly poor understanding of the term "War on Terror") . . .There's not much there my friend.

Once they move south, the states seem to turn them "red", rather than them turning their new homes "blue"

Yes.

With all the bible thumpin' and hypocrisy of a few that many fell for as legitimate, many and sayin' "Why the hell bother keeping up this false front" and admittingly becoming more "liberal".

That is NO insult to real Southerners or their culture!

If the South turns Liberal, we will all become Commie Goose Steppers.

you know what I've never understood.. many of these red southern states (I live in one) vote blue on their in-state election.. the state I live in has 100 representatives and 76 of them are democrat.. same pattern in the senate.. we have a democratic governor.. and vote red on almost every national election.. it blows my mind to be honest.
