My husband and I found out I was Pregnant in early January. Quickly after, I had a miscarriage. I was six weeks along, so the news was pretty devastating. However, I have a solid mind and I know that something just wasn't right. I also know that 40-65% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage (a staggering number). My Doctor told me that in the old days, most woman would not have even known they were pregnant, and would have just thought they had a late period and that it was heavier than normal.

So here is my question. She told me I need to wait another cycle before I can try to get pregnant again. They won't even let me have sex until February 7th. I know they are only trying to do whats best for me...but tell me...is this REALLY nescessary? I want to try again, and I want to try again SOON - I feel like I am wasting precious time!

Somebody give me the real scoop please. Thanks!

wait intil after your first "regular" period. This is best because when you have a miscarrage, there could still be old tissue in your uterus. If you got pregnant now, then there could be old tissue stuck in there, and could cause infections, and disease. That would not be good. Also, if there is old tissue in there, or old blood clots, that get stuck in there, then you could bleed through out your whole pregnancy, I just did that, it sucked. Give your body a little time to heal. It will be best for you and your future baby. good luck

I know this isn't the answer that you want, but here goes: you should obey your doctor's orders, even though you don't have the patience. It is really necessary that you obey the doctor's orders because something could go wrong. I hope this helps you. Wait until the day the doctor says you can have sex. You'll be glad that you did. Remember. Your doctor went to school for this, so she knows about how to handle these situations.

I think if the doctors are telling you to wait, then it must be in your best interest to wait. I am in the same boat and I know how hard it is trying to conceive, but again, if they are telling you to wait, there is obviously some reason for it. Maybe you need to clarify with your doctor his reasoning for making you wait. I would guess it has to do with waiting until your hormones are back to normal, getting pregnancy so quickly again could cause potential problems with your next pregnancy. Good luck!

I know this is not what you want to hear, but you should follow your doctor's instructions. If you get pregnant again too soon, it could result in another miscarriage, and I know you don't want that. It may be hard to wait, but it is best that you do what your dr. says. It will make it more likely that you carry to term next time. Good Luck.

Listen to your doctor. They went to years of school to learn about your body. I don't think you will meet many physicians on Yahoo Answers, and if you do none will go against another doctors opinion with out a full work-up. It's sort of an unwritten law between doctors. Just wait. Patience.

It's really not all that long,i would just take their advice and wait it out,you need to do whats best for your body, and having it in the best condition for carrying a child is necessary!

If your not sure about what your doctor told you maybe you should get a second opinion from another educated professional. But think about it, she did got to school for 10-odd years .... she deals with stuff like that daily. She probably knows her stuff.

You marry her and finally you'll change into bored of the generic woman and cheat besides. Many adult adult males imagine they have this inherited appropriate to bang whoever they want.

Your body needs time to heal and if you don't give it the time to heal that it needs the chances of you miscarrying again are greater. I wish you the best of luck!

Your doctor is the professional, not a bunch of strangers on the Internet. For heaven's sake, listen to your doctor.
