What does West Virginia not offer that might make someone move else where?

Opportunity, more than anything.

The eastern panhandle near Martinsburg is actually booming as the DC area spreads its tentacles westward, and I understand Clarksburg and Bridgeport are growing (probably thanks to the FBI fingerprint division)...but overall there just aren't that many job opportunities there.

It was a great place to grow up, and I loved going to West Virginia University, but I don't see myself living there again in my lifetime.
