think about when you made a mistake once in your life and then made the same mistake again later in life. It is the same principle with everything. This difference is whether or not you learn from the mistake. Only then will the cycle be broken.

yes history repeats it self. it is due to the nature of man kind, as he wants always to change some thing, and while changing the existing things one addupts the older. one more thing feelings and requirements of every man in every decade and centuries are same . so they adupt the same ancient ideas and the history repets thus

Maybe not in absolutely every way, but there are clearly cycles when dealing with human nature. Greed and lust for power are often behind the cycles of regimes for instance.
