I was born and raised in the North! New Jersey as a matter of fact. I just got back from living in Austin,Texas for 7 years. I've only been home 1 year. Now I can understand you defending your heritage and being happy of where you were born and raised. Everyone should be. I personally didn't care for Texas. I personally don't care for the South period. But it's not to say that it's not a good place to live or grow up. Everyone has their own taste of where they'd rather be. You have small town people who just can't wait to get to the big cities and you have your city people who want to live somewhere where it's quiet and a little more calmer. I just think going back and forth on this South and North deal gets no one anywhere. I'm personally not up for another war between us. Hell our entire country is at war! Isn't that enough for right now! Or for ever as far as I'm concerned. If you're happy being a Wild Texas Cowgirl then I say "Do You!" I'm personally not a hater! I love being back North and I say we both deserve to be happy little chickadees!

Are you really asking "What is wrong w/being a cowgirl?" Because I believe anyone can be whomever they want as long as they have intelligence and class! Without that, the problem w/being a cowgirl is that YOU just may have to play like your a little smarter w/some class. Quit downplaying the cowgirls/countrygirls! All of us aren't dropouts!

I see nothing wrong with it. If you want to be a cowgirl then be one. My husband's cousin is a cowboy and he loves the country. He's not really a cowboy but that's his nick name. If that's who yo u want to be then be that person. Don't worry about what other people think. It's what you think that counts. City people don't understand.

People always think different is weird. If a city slicker was walking through the Texas country side and you and your friends saw them (that's a big "if" as Texas is big...), you'd probably look at them like they were weird.
